There he is!

Ricky thought it would be fun to cover his brother in pillows and blankets lol He also had Charlie giggling like crazy this morning, moreso than I've ever been able to get him to giggle. So cute!

What a day!

This is the peacefulness I woke up to this morning, and then the morning kind of went to shit. I crashed my van into a tree(and thank god for the tree or it would have been into a ten foot ditch!) Its probably a write off, but the kids and I are all okay. Im stiff/sore and I banged my knee up pretty good(it hit the dash) but everyone made it out okay. We were on our way to Windsor to do some insurance stuff for the house, Rick was in his truck because he was going to work afterwards.

The OPP-bunch of uncompassionate jerks in my opinion. OBVIOUSLY our first thought wasnt to call the damn police it was to get the kids home to warmth and then go deal with the van. So someone reported the accident, the OPP then decided to tow our vehicle to FREAKING KINGSVILLE instead of essex(which makes no sense since i was litterally two minutes out of essex) and then call us. So we went down to the station so I could make my statement. Rick was trying to figure out why the hell they towed it there, the cop gave him a bullshit reason. When the cop asked me why we didnt report it, I told him because that was the last thing on my mind I wanted my kids home warm and safe. He told me he completely understood, then handed me an effing ticket/fine for leaving the scene of an accident. REALLY?! So completely irritated with them right now. I know he was just doing his job, but seriously, what the hell did you want me to do? Wait around in a bloody snowstorm with a 5month old and a 2year old, who knows when a damn cruiser would have shown up. EFFING RIDICULOUS in my opinion. But whatever. So add the 110$ ticket to the freaking 200$ towing fee and a van thats probably a write off and it was a damn expensive morning!

Ricky kept running around laughing saying "mommy crashed the van into a tree mommy needs a new van!" Comic relief for a crappy situation!

The good note of the day was we closed on our house and picked up our keys! We are now HOMEOWNERS!!! WAHOOO!!! Pics to hopefully follow in the comming days of reno/painting etc..We'll see if I can actually even get out there to do stuff on the house. Thank god for friends, because it looks like I can borrow a carseat for Charlie until hes ready for a non bucket seat (which im sure it wont take long the way that kid is gaining weight!) and I have a backup for Ricky, that I had bought but wasnt overly thrilled with, either way it works. So now its a matter of figuring out the vehicle situation. We have a van we were going to use for parts that may be driveable, or if Rick can figure out the issue on my car that we havnt sold I may go back to driving that. We'll see.

Whew! That was a long post, off to ice my knee!

Reminiscing

So now that we've bought this new house Im thinking about paint colours etc.. And thinking how its going to be kind of bittersweet to be moving. I had my babies in this house, Ricky spent the first two and a half years of his life here and Charlie will have spent the first 7ish months here. I forgot to take pictures today so I pulled out some old ones of the kids room. The first three are of how I had the nursery decorated for Ricky. Then when we found out we were pregnant again of course I had to redo the room because I figured they would be sharing for a while. Well Charlie is still sleeping in our room so he never will have really slept in the room I did for the two of them. But it looks cute anyways. I love how I redid it, the big circles and the Mickey Mouses and the colours. Rickys new room is going to be done in a Disney Cars theme(his choice) and I think Im going to do Charlies in Mickey Mouse (I have the stuff why not right?! Not like its going to make a big difference to him)

I forgot to take pictures today so I thought I would put up a picture of our new house! We close/pick up the keys on Friday!! Were super excited about it. This has been such a good year so far!!

Bubbles!

Today I decided it would be fun to blow bubbles, yes in the house! Charlie LOVED them, he was getting so excited it was absolutely adorable. Ricky thought it would be good to eat them, and then wanted to try blowing them on his own, he actually did pretty well!

Old man winter go back to sleep!

Oh how I hate winter. Its been SO nice around here the last few days. Then tonight as im sitting at my computer I start getting the familiar stiffness/achiness/headache, so I figured I would check the weather since I havnt watched the news in a few days. 4-8 FREAKING INCHES by tomorrow night! No wonder my head hurts!! At least most of the old snow has melted. Im praying we're on the light end of the snow spectrum, and I really hope it doesnt get me stuck. I need to be able to get out if I have to this week!! Oy!! Oh well, Ricky will be excited, he loves snow. Maybe it'll be packing snow and we can build another snowman! Hows that for positive thinking!

Socks

After we got home from my parents house tonight Charlie was playing and he kicked his sock off. This is Ricky trying so hard to put it back on for him. He couldnt quite get it though so it was mommy to the rescue!

Brothers/House update

Okay, im cheating, this picture is from yesterday when Ricky got home. He stripped down to his diaper and wanted to hang out with his brother, they missed each other a lot! I didnt get a chance to pull out my camera today. Its been kind of hectic around here. But we finally found out that our offer was 100% accepted on the house so now we just wait on mortgage approval and then the house inspection. Thanks to all for keeping us in your prayers/thoughts.

First Snowman

Ricky spent the night at my parents house last night and this afternoon him and Pip built a snowman. His first one!!!

Stickers

So remember yesterday when I said I peeled all the stickers off of my floor? Theyre all gone :) The floor looks SO much better!

Comfort?

How he is comfortable laying on the floor like this I'm not entirely sure. But he layed there for quite a while watching Cars. As a sidenote-See all of the stickers on the floor? They are no longer there. I peeled up all eight bazillion of them today while Ricky was gone to my parents house.

We had a playdate today with some friends we havnt seen since Christmas-time. We took the kids to Jungaroo and they had an absolute BLAST!
