Playing Outside

I took Ricky outside after dinner tonight, Charlie went down for a late nap, so I thought I would use the opportunity to get Ricky to burn off some energy.

House update/Cookie Monster

Finally getting to the bathroom. This is after two coats of primer. Waiting for the mud on the ceiling to dry so it can be sanded/primed and then we'll be ready for paint! Yay!!! I also picked up all of the mouldings today(baseboard,window casings and door casings) so those need to be painted as well as the interior doors, and then I need to make Rick put them up(that shouldnt be too difficult :S lol).

He moved the chair, climbed up onto the counter, went into the cupboard and pulled out his cookies then announced that he wanted cookies lol little bugger!

I forgot to take pictures today. In my defense, I really didnt do a lot of "noticeable" work at the house. I painted some trim/doorjams, did a few walls in the entryway, and my sister and her bf primed the bathroom(i guess i could have taken a pic of that but i didnt). Slowly but surely its getting there. Theres a lot of little things left to do, and the bathroom, so once Rick is done fixing the drywall I can get in there and paint(finally!) We've still been slowly moving things over, I brought another load yesterday, but theres only so much I can pack/move before were actually ready to move in for good. On a happy note, the floors are *almost* done, a few small pieces left and then the transition mouldings (which dad is picking up tomorrow) I measured for baseboard/window trim last night so we'll need to go get that soon and then I'll have to paint it all (were going to go with the pre-primed stuff) Slowly but surely. Next weekend is kind of a write off since its Easter, Im sure there wont be much work going on at the house, hopefully I'll be able to get in there and get some stuff done on Friday. Anyways, I need to update my to do list and figure out totals on baseboard/window trim. Hope everyone had a good weekend.

Floors are just about done,there are a few more pieces to go in(mostly in the closets) and then the transition mouldings and it'll be done! My dad and cousin ROCK for gettin er' done!

House Update!

Living room floor is DONE!!! Looks so good! My dad and cousin ROCK!

Rickys room is DONE (save for trim and floor) Im kind of excited about the red closet lol

Pulled the newspaper down and the kitchen colour looks awesome with the counters/cabinets.

Im so excited that things are getting done, there's still a lot left to do but its getting there. I think dad is starting the floor in Charlies room tomorrow! yay!(yes I will be making my mom take pictures for me because I likely wont be getting out there until the weekend)

**House update**

Floors are going in! Talked to my dad earlier and him and my cousin have started laying the laminate flooring in the house!! Yay!!! They did the hallway and were continuing on to the living room when I talked to him. Im so excited to see it. I'll be heading out there tomorrow to finish up some painting, so I'll have pictures then!!

Poor kid!

My poor little bugger has one hell of a bruise on his face. He ran into the corner of two walls at my mom and dads this week, ended up with a big goose egg(which has gone down quite a bit) and a big bruise. Then when we were there today he was swinging from the table/living room chair(one hand on each and swinging his body) he fell and hit his cheek off the table, so now he has another bruise on his face :( poor kid!

And this is my Charlie bear. He HATES being on his stomach, so he just gave up today lol He had his 6 month checkup and weighs 17lbs14oz and is 28" tall!! No wonder he hasnt rolled over yet, hes too fat lol

Day Off

Well I took the day off from painting today. I relaxed all day, went and hung out at mom n dads. I thought I might go after dinner and do some work but just before dinner my knee really started bugging me. Its the knee I hit off the dashboard when I crashed my van, I guess all of the up and down of painting this week really did me in. Its all swollen and hurting, which means no painting today. There is still quite a bit to get done, luckily my sister said she'd come out and give a hand this week. Dad is also going to start on laying the laminate flooring this week. Im SO excited! Its all starting to come together. Theres still A LOT to do (including packing this house) but its getting there, I see the light at the end of the tunnel! However because I didnt do any work today I dont have any pictures. Maybe tomorrow...

Did two coats in the kitchen today(will take a pic tomorrow once all of the paper is off of the cupboards and I know for sure there are no touchups to do)

A big thanks to my sister for helping me paint, and my mom and dad and Ricks mom for watching the boys for us so we can get all this work done(or rather so I can get it done since he pretty much did no painting lol)

Apparently I wasnt done!

Apparently I wasnt done Charlies room lol My sister convinced me that the circles needed to be on more than one wall. I did forget to take a picture of the angle where the circles go across the closet. Will get that tomorrow.

My wonderful sister painting the ceiling in the kitchen! Hopefully I'll get to the walls tomorrow! Also on the agenda tomorrow, finishing Rickys room, cleaning the mildewy/mould off the windows and painting the door frames and what window trim there is and hopefully getting the interior doors taken off and painting them. Then if theres time, putting a second coat on the basement floor.

Todays work at the new house

I finished Charlies Room today(save for trim and the door) Im pretty excited about these circles. They were a pain in the neck to paint but they look pretty good!

I also painted the inside of the hall closet (and the doors) today. Not exciting but it needed to be done, now all I have to do is get some mactac for the shelves.

Bedrooms and living room/hallway are DONE!

Living room with two coats of the brown. Looks much better and I dont think its going to need a third coat. So I have an extra gallon and a half of paint lol We'll likely use it in the basement or something.

Charlies room with two coats. Dont think it will need a third. I still have to figure out what else im going to do on the walls. Possibly something like I have in the boys room now, big/little circles.

Our bedroom with two coats. Wont need a third, and no its not the same colour as Charlies room. It'll look  more greeny/teal once the flooring is in. Still debating whether or not im going to do a faux finish of some sort on it.

Rickys room with three coats on it, finally looks good. Im LOVING the colour of it. Still debating what to do on the big wall. I might do circles, either that or I'm thinking I might try and paint it plaid (stripes/squares) we'll see how ambitious I get and if I can find any instructions on how to paint plaid lol

My hands hurt so bad! I still have a bunch of painting left to do, I feel like that guy from scary movie who's all "Take my strong hand child" lol On the plus side, flooring should be going in by next week!!! Yay!!
